ERGONOMIC DRIVING POSITION

The steering system in MINIs has been designed to give the optimal driving position. In most small cars the steering column is slightly angled away from the driver, which is particularly noticeable when the steering wheel is turned. In a MINI, however, the steering wheel is directly in front of the driver's seating position and the steering column runs at a straight angle away from the driver. Additionally, the pedals are also aligned as straight as possible to the driver. All of this straight stuff means a more stable, alert driving position that adds to a MINI's Go-Kart-like ride.
